Tuesday, May 24, 2005 (All day) The Motto in the Seal of Grand Lodge is “Audi, Vide, Tace”, three Latin words. Audi as in “Audio” means “Listen or Hear”. Vide as in “Video” means “Look or See”. And Tace as in “tacit approval” means “Be Silent”. Thus the motto is “Listen, Watch, Be Silent”. Not the alternative translation which is “Wow, Look at the revs on that German sports car.”
